Session III – Destinations

Hospitality 2.0 – Building a Competitive Advantage Through Accessibility and Participant Focus

The “Hospitality 2.0” session will demonstrate how conscious experience design can become a driving force for the development of the entire meetings and tourism industry.

Moderator: Aneta Książek and Wojciech Norkowski

Contemporary tourism and event destinations can no longer rely solely on attractive offerings or locations for competitiveness. Accessibility is becoming a strategic development tool – a real market advantage that translates into greater reach, customer loyalty, and a stronger destination brand.

During the session, we will demonstrate that inclusivity is not a passing trend or a CSR activity. It is the foundation of a modern destination – open, flexible, and consciously designed with the diverse needs of attendees in mind.

More and more venues and events in Poland and around the world are implementing solutions that improve sensory comfort – both for neurodiverse individuals and all attendees who value a more peaceful, sustainable environment. Examples of good practices from Poland and abroad will be presented (a subjective set observed by Aneta Książek), showing that low-sensory solutions increase the comfort of all participants – not just a selected group.

Participants will learn:

  • what low-sensory tools and activities are,
  • how to design an event space and program in a “low-sensory” spirit,
  • how these solutions impact the guest experience and their purchasing decisions.

A special element will be the presentation of the PCB POT Low Sensory Show Room concept – a space enabling relaxation, regeneration, and a moment of respite before subsequent sessions or business meetings.

The session will not be solely theoretical. Through a sound massage session, RITD participants will experience human-centered design in practice.

This is an example of an activity that:

  • reduces stimulus overload,
  • supports regeneration during intense events,
  • uilds a positive, immersive destination experience.

A special element, complementing the session, will be the presentation of the PCB POT Low Sensory Show Room concept – a space enabling relaxation, regeneration, and a moment of respite before subsequent sessions or business discussions.

Why is it worth it?

  • Because accessibility is now a business strategy, not just an image-building measure.
  • Because sensory comfort enhances the quality of the experience for all participants.
  • Because destinations that understand diverse needs set new market standards.
